Composing in AIME

Oen issue that has been noted relative to AIME in the specbook (http://www.modesofexistence.org/specbook-specbook-2/) is the issue of composing.

Given that there exist roughly these (and perhaps some other) Modes of Existence, how does the process of composing go on?

To my understanding one of the very interesting meditations on the characteristics of "good composing" and on the process of composing is Christopher Alexanders' "The Nature of Order" (http://www.natureoforder.com/)

http://www.tkwa.com/fifteen-properties/ Has a nice presentation of 15 properties that Alexander has singled out through his studies (the number is open to change)

And the following is a way (by me) to organize these modes

  • The “centers” and their quality (strong center, good shape,  roughness)
  • Emptiness as center (Void, positive space, Local symmetries
  • Centers next to each other (boundaries, contrasts, alternating repetition)
  • Resonance (Echoes, graded variation, Levels of scale)
  • Composition (Non separatedness, Inner calm, Deep interlock)

I am thinking that each mode may have a different feel when used in a composite "picture". For example modes like [FIC], [TEC], [REP] seem to me very strong in brining forth "entities", beings left in their wake that seem very concrete (which I take to be like "centers"). Moreover these "good properties" are supposed to guide the bringing forth of high quality wholes. For example:
